| The Wave Machines have revealed their tour itinerary for January and February 2013, where they'll be giving a live debut to new material from their album 'Pollen', out on January 21st via Neapolitan/PIAS. Recording 'Pollen', the follow up to 2009's 'Wave If You're Already There', was a lengthy process for the band. "I love deadlines" says frontman Tim Bruzon, quoting Douglas Adams "I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." The album was conceived in the eaves of St. Brides Church in Liverpool, in the band's self-made rehearsal space, and then these recordings were taken to producer Lexxx's studio in London, to be chopped up, changed, edited and mastered. The resulting album may have taken a while to produce but it's one the band feel is "the right record".
