Born from the 60s folk boom, Tim Hardin never really slotted into any one pigeon hole. Too pop for the traditionalists and too damn serious for the pop crowd, his work was beloved by fellow songwriters and had an insidious effect on the watching world. Much covered, Tim Hardin's legacy - though it may not be explicitly visible - can still be felt. Now Full Time Hobby have gathered together a host of new artists in an attempt to demonstrate the songwriter's lasting musical impact. The list of acts contributing to 'Reason To Believe – The Songs of Tim Hardin' is quite imposing. Opening with The Phoenix Foundation, other Stateside artists include Mark Lanegan, Okkervil River, Sarabeth Tucek and more. The British contingent are led by The Magnetic North, Hannah Peel and Smoke Fairies - who deliver the following exquisite version of 'If I Were A Carpenter'. - - - 'Reason To Believe – The Songs of Tim Hardin' is set to be released on January 28th.
